As per Notification No. 31/2018 – Central Tax dated 6th August 2018, following are the procedure:

1. Furnish required information as required in the notification to jurisdictional nodal officer of the Central Government or State Government on or before the 31th August 2018.

2. On receipt of an e mail from GSTN, fill and file form GST REG 01.

3. On approval ARN and GSTN and access token will be received from GSTN.

4.Before 30th September  2018 inform GSTN by sending  e mail to migration@gstn.org.in  the details mentioned in the notification.

5. On completion of the process, It is deemed to have been registered with effect from the 1st July 2018.
