Taxation on Compensation received


ITAT holds that , assessee having been sexually harassed by the employees of M/s Cocoa Cola ltd,  the Rs 95 lakhs  received as compensation  for repudiatory breach of contract, is not a benefit or perquisite arising out  out of exercise of profession/business, and hence not taxable either u/s 2(24) or 28. But the other Rs. 50 lacs received under the  contract as is taxable.
