Gazatee notification for GSTR 9

Ministry of Finance has issued Gazatee notification (No 1/2018) for extension of due date for filing GSTR 9, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 172 of the CGST Act on 11th December 2018.

(Section 172 stipulates the order has to be issued as general or special order published in the offical Gazette, and laid before each House of Parliament.Further order U/s 172  cannot be issued after 3 year from the commencement of Act.)

This extention automaically applies to GSTR 9C as, GSTR 9C is required to filed  along with GSTR 9 as per Section 44(2) of GST Acts read with Section 35(5) of GST Acts.
